I am several seasons behind on one of my favorite crime dramas, Bones. So, this summer I am binge-watching Bones (since it’s too hot and humid to spend too much time outside). Currently, I am on Season 8. Brennan, affectionately known as “Bones”, is an uber-intelligent and highly-skilled forensic anthropologist working alongside FBI Agent, Seeley Booth, to solve murders, with the help of her Jeffersonian colleagues and rotating team of “squinterns.”
It’s been great fun watching the changes in main character, Temperance Brennan, since she became a mother for the first time at the end of Season 7. She and Booth are partners in love as well as crime-solving. The birth of their daughter, Christine, allows all of us to be voyeurs observing the two wildly disparate personalities navigate this new path in their relationship.
Check out the show’s website for more information about Booth, Brennan and all the other wonderful cast members, read online content and access full episodes. You can also watch Seasons 1-9 on Netflix.
I think my favorite episode so far is “The Fact In the Fiction” (Season 8, Episode 17). Booth and FBI psychologist, Lance Sweets, have an interesting sort of friendship. Some might call it a bonafide bro-mance. In this episode, the following scene had me giggling and rewinding, giggling and rewinding…..
These two often have a love-hate type relationship, but when push comes to shove they’ve got each others’ back.
I love watching marathons of my favorite shows on Netflix. What are you watching?
