Before I was a mom

Before I was a mom

I honestly cannot remember my life before I was a mom.  I remember a few benefits to being child-free, but I love my life today!  My life as it is today is full of love, kisses, giggling and so much more.

Before I was a mom I woke up and went to bed anytime I wanted.  My husband and I had our own schedules because we were working full time and sometimes we were home alone or with each other.  We did not have a little one to worry about and who would watch him.

Before I was a mom, I was able to use the bathroom and shower without an audience.

Before I was a mom, I was working full time.  Today, I am a stay at home mom and love it.  Now that our son is older, I would like to return to college.

Before I was a mom, I had so much free time on my hands.  My husband and I did not spend much time together.  Nowadays, we spend a lot of time together as a family.  We enjoy watching television together.

Overall, I love being a parent.  My husband and I work together to care for our son.  We are a family and support each other.  We grow together.  We thrive together.  We make our marriage and our family stronger together.  My marriage certainly has not been perfect, but we have worked through the things as they come.  We have had our ups and downs as a couple and as parents.

I love being married and having a family.  As long as I can remember, I always wanted to be married to someone I could trust with my whole heart.  I know that my husband and I are in it for the long run.  We both have the same values about marriage and family.

I hope our future is bright and full of prosperity.  I can only hope for good things to come.

I can so relate to the bathroom thing! I was just saying the other day how I can’t have 10 seconds in the bathroom without a dog or a kid! I love the changes though 🙂

This is an excellent post. Once you become parents it is hard to imagine your life not being parents.

I have trouble remembering before I was a mom, too! I swear I was busy, but I can’t figure out what I was doing!
