Beautiful Long Lasting Matte Lips

Beautiful Long Lasting Matte Lips - Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Color, Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Longwear Matte Liquid LipstickBeauty Brite Disclosure

I recently started watching makeup tutorial videos and one thing that I have noticed is many women use matte lipsticks! I have never owned matte lipstick before so I decided to give it a try and now I know why it is all the rage in makeup looks right now.

I wanted to try lip glosses that are affordable at first to make sure that I like it and Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour is very affordable at around 6 bucks per tube. It comes in 14 shades so you will be sure to find one just for you. I decided to try out the Latte To Go and Fire Starter shades.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Fire Starter is a rich red color, hence the name. It is very intense but gives you that “I want to be noticed” look. I really love using this color at night and on the weekends for a dramatic flair when out on the town. I prefer to downplay the rest of my makeup when I wear this color and focus on my lips and my eyelashes. It also makes my teeth look like I just got them whitened. Bonus!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Color

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Latte To Go is something I use daily and I think it is a great shade for fall. It is a nude and I like to use a little lip liner with it if I want to darken it up a bit.

I appreciate that these Rimmel Matte Lip Colors both go on smooth and leave behind a velvety smooth finish.

Once I decided that  I liked the matte look I wanted to try other brands. Cargo Cosmetics also carries a line of matte lip color, Swimmables™ Longwear Matte Liquid Lipstick, with some amazing colors to choose from. I went for more everyday colors on these and chose Montauk and Cape Town.

The Swimmables™ Longwear Matte Liquid Lipstick truly stays on all day!! I wore this to a famous water park that we have here in North Carolina. I put it on before we got out of the truck which was around 9 am. I left my purse in the car and when we came back after hours and hours of swimming, splashing and riding water rides it was still very much intact. The girls I was with immediately wanted to know about the product!

Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Longwear Matte Liquid Lipstick

The Swimmables™ Longwear Matte Liquid Lipsticks are affordable as well but a little more at around 18 dollars per tube! I think that the higher price tag is worth it because it stays put so well after application without having to feel like I constantly have to touch it up.

I am sold on the matte look now and even though I also love shine I think now with the fall coming it is a great time for a change a more smooth, velvety, suede look for your lips!

Rimmel London can be purchased at many retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, CVS, and Rite Aid while Cargo Cosmetics can be purchased at Ulta and Kohls. Check out the website and social media for these brands to find other retailers near you.

  1. I love liquid matte lipsticks and these sound terrific.

  2. Looks like i might be able to wear lipstick after all! I hate having to re-apply, so this might be the trick i need!

  4. It looks pretty.

  5. Wow, I haven’t heard of the Swimmables! Do they stay on through eating as well? That is what I always hate, even with some of the other “long-wear,” “stay-on-all-day” lip products – having it look ridiculous after you’ve had a bite or two of food, and having to run off to touch up.

  6. I hadn’t heard of the Swimmables before! I would love to give them a try.

  7. I love these lipsticks – none I use stay on at all. These are nice colors and that they would stay on I want to try!

  8. It’s hard to find lip color that truly stays on all day. Thanks for the tip!
