SkinClinical Extreme Healing is exactly what my poor hands need. The SkinClinical line of products was developed by Dr. Harry Glassman M.D., a world-renowned cosmetic surgeon who’s been practicing in Beverly Hills, CA for thirty-five years.
The skin on my hands seems to be in a constant struggle with my environment and I have to keep a close eye on it, particularly during the cold, dry winters here in Kentucky. Between cold weather, using cleaning products to maintain my home and fairly constant hand washing during the day (especially during meal prep times) my skin can get chapped and dry pretty easily. I have to apply moisturizer often to try to prevent that itchy, scratchy feeling that dry skin can cause. If I let it get out of hand I can always expect for the skin to crack and bleed, usually around my nail beds and on the knuckles joints. Sometimes it will even happen on the backs of my hands and around the wrists. It’s not very much fun because it can be really painful. It can also be hard to keep those areas covered with band-aids due to the fact that my hands are in constant motion during the day, causing them to fall off or become water logged during cleaning or hand washing.

What I like about these two products is that together they not only prevent, relieve and repair damaged skin but also provide concentrated healing for skin that is already damaged. You can see from the picture above what these creams look like. What you can’t see is how they feel when applied to your skin. They go on smooth and absorb into the skin very well. I have experienced immediate relief of the dry, itchy skin on my hands that seems to always be present. While I will use it primarily for my hands, it is recommended for whole body use for those who have skin issues on any body area. SkinClinical’s Extreme Healing products are ideal for all skin types and tones, even those with sensitive skin issues.
For those of you who have sensitive skin, you will be glad to know that these products contain no fragrances, parabens, dyes or steroids. What they do contain is patented SBD-4 Technology that:
- -Stimulates skin’s natural cell regenerative process
-Improves skin’s hydration, microcirculation & oxygenation
-Increases skin’s elasticity, thickness, & natural collagen production
SBD-4 is an ingredient of SkinClinical that is extracted from the Angelica sinensis root. It is this ingredient that helps heal and prevent skin damage by improving micro-circulation and increasing oxygenation in skin.
A National Institutes of Health clinical study found that 95% of SkinClinical users said that the product repaired rough and damaged skin. This study (and more of its results) can be found on the SkinClinical website.

I have tried dozens of different brands of skin care products that say they treat extreme dryness and other issues. I have a few brands that I consider go-to’s in my skin care regimen. But, most of the ones that I’ve tried have something about them that I don’t like, whether that be their scent, the fact that they don’t absorb well or that they sting when applied to hands that have abrasions. SkinClinical has none of those negative characteristics. I like the smell, it absorbs great without leaving behind any oily residue and doesn’t sting when applied to skin that is very irritated. It also provides instant relief and fast healing. This is a product that I have happily added to my very short list of skin care products that I love!
