Affordable Makeup Hack

Affordable Makeup Hack

When I think of makeup, I never thought to use a men’s product. I admit, I was skeptical but I am all about saving money and helping everyone do the same. When it comes to makeup, primer is one of the most important steps. Primer helps your makeup stay in place all day!

When I worked long hours in retail, I really didn’t have time to check my makeup. I wish I used primer, that way, I would not have to worry about fixing my makeup.

I have a fun and affordable makeup hack to share! NIVEA Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm is makes the perfect primer! It is affordable at under $7 for 3.3 OZ bottle.

The NIVEA Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm is a great moisturizer. It contains Chamomile, Vitamin E and Provitamin B5, which makes it good for sensitive skin. It is also alcohol-free.

Here is how you can incorporate NIVEA Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm into your makeup routine:

Step 1: After cleansing your skin. Start with a clean and dry face. Since it is winter, I use a serum and/or moisturizer because my skin is dry! This is a great time to use a moisturizer with SPF.

Step 2: Apply NIVEA Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm. You will smell the light men’s fragrance. Don’t worry, the scent will go away after a few moments. After the first application, you will start to notice it less and less.

For me, I always make sure I apply primer on my eyelids. Because of the way my eyes are shaped, my eye shadow always creases.

Step 3: I am currently using a CC Cream, so I use this time to apply my CC Cream. If you have a BB Cream, this is a great time to apply.

Step 4: Apply your makeup as usual.

Overall, I love how easy and quick the NIVEA Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm is to apply. I find it works perfectly under my makeup. I am currently using a liquid foundation. I do apply extra layers of moisturizer for the cold months. Of course, your skin and climate are different from mine, so use the product according to what works for you.

The fragrance was unexpected for me but it quickly went away. I only noticed the fragrance on the first day because the product is new to me. After the second day of applying the product, I didn’t even notice the scent. Do not let the fragrance scare you away.

If you are looking for a great alternative to use for primer, consider NIVEA Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm.

You can find Nivea on their website, Facebook and Twitter.
