Have you ever wanted to write a letter to someone special in your life? After my brother passed away, I wrote a letter to him. I put one copy in his pocket, so it is buried with him. I also have a copy for myself.
I think this is a great topic to write about. Love and appreciate your loved ones. I lost my brother last year. I still can’t believe it’s been over a year since my brother passed away. I love my Grandpa a little over 5 years ago and my Grandma last month.
Be sure to tell your family and friends how much they mean to you. I wish I knew the struggle my brother was going through. I would have handled things differently.
Here is a letter to my son. He has Autism and he does not talk. We are able to communicate with him with basic words and signs.
To My Dear Son:
I love you to the moon and back. Your father and I have loved you since we knew you existed! The night you were born was so chaotic, at least for me. I was starving and exhausted. When you were born, it felt like an out of body experience. They handed you to me and all I can remember is that I was confused. I quickly handed you to your dad! I was in shock, I think.
I really fell hard for you when they wheeled you in after bathing and ran tests on you. I looked at you and saw how peaceful and adorable you looked. I could barely sleep after I saw you.
Raising you and seeing you grow and develop over the years has been amazing! We are thankful for the opportunity to have at least one of us home with you full time.
Your father and I do our best to provide you with everything that you need. Our family is far from perfect but we have our love that keeps us going.
We can only hope you see how much we love you. You have taught us patience, understanding, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to change quickly!
You are an amazing boy! We love that we are learning through your eyes. We see what you learn and understand. Everything is new and we love experiencing life through you!
Happy Birthday, rockstar!
Love Mom and Dad!
