A Day in the Life of a Blogger

A Day in the Life of a Blogger

I’ve been thinking about sharing a post about behind the scenes of Beauty Brite. I am humbled and thankful for my work as a blogger. Starting Beauty Brite was on a whim after several attempts with other blog themes. The other blogs prepared me for this one and I am so glad I went through that journey and this is the end result. With Beauty Brite, I originally wanted a place to share homemade beauty recipes and share my personal reviews of products I have used. I was not even focused on building a readership; I wanted an outlet to share my experiences with beauty products. I had no idea if anyone would find Beauty Brite, let alone read it. I am very proud of my blog!

Beauty Brite is very meaningful for me. I have been through so much since starting this blog. I have learned so much through trial and error. I have also learned from reading various articles about blogging and learning from others.

Every week day, I set the alarm for 5am. I try to get out of bed by 5:45am, yes, I like to snooze. I have a quick breakfast and then put my makeup on. I then get dressed, make coffee and get a little work done and slowly wake my son up. He likes to snooze too so he watches cartoons to help him wake up and get ready for the day. As he is waking up and getting dressed, I finish up any quick work I am doing and get ready to take him to the bus stop.

After getting my son off to school, I like to walk and jog on my treadmill for a bit. I then check emails, social media, edit blog posts, schedule posts and manage my review group. I have a group of reviewers that help with the volume of product review requests.

I am always trying to think of new blog topics, how to improve on my blog, improve my writing and more. My blog is a full time job but I love it.

I don’t think my family, friends or even my husband understand how much work goes into my blog. I know my husband dislikes how many boxes and other shipping materials we end up with and it can pile up quickly. He doesn’t like having to always take out the trash. However, I don’t hear him complaining when I am paying all of the bills with my blog earnings.
