5 Things I Am Grateful For

Have you ever thought about what you are grateful for? I am always thankful and grateful for what we do have. There are many other people worse off than we are, so I do appreciate our life. We are in no way rich or well off financially. Here are things that I am grateful for. I am not by any means trying to sound like I am bragging. I am truly thankful for everything. What would your list look like?

Here are the 5 Things I Am Grateful For:

1. Family/marriage
My husband and I have been married for over 13 years! I know that half of all marriages end in divorce. Our marriage is certainly not perfect but we seem to just mesh well together. Over the years, my husband and I have met several other married couples that we have remained friends with. All of the marriages we knew of are now divorced! It is really sad because they are all good people.

We also have our son that keeps us together. With his special needs, it would be very difficult to raise him as divorced parents. He has a lot of needs and can be a lot to handle.

2. Washer and Dryer
Believe it or not, I am very grateful for my washer and dryer. I bought them when we first moved in to our current place. We knew we would be here for a few years and instead of renting a washer and dryer, we wanted to buy a set. I use my washer and dryer daily.

3. Affordable rent
I know this may sound unconventional but I am grateful for our very affordable rent, especially for our area of town. I think our apartment is very cozy and works for us. I also like our community. The management keeps it clean and maintained outside. There are a few apartment complexes nearby that charge much more in rent. I don’t know how we got so lucky to have such low rent but I am very grateful for it.

4. My Blog
When I started my blog over 5 years ago, I had no idea what to expect. I wanted a place to share my homemade beauty recipes that I was trying. Then my blog turned into product reviews. I started with products that I had purchased on my own. I was curious about them and wanted to share my thoughts on the products.

My blog has awarded me so many opportunities to try exciting products that I would never find on my own. Before my blog, I only bought basic beauty supplies at the local store.

5. Review Team
I am grateful for my review team. I started out by asking my co-worker to help with reviewing products. She loved it and I always had plenty to review. Eventually I expanded my team a bit and now I have 4 people on my team. They handle about 95% of the reviews I receive. I am thankful for them because it helps lift the workload off of me. They love the products and I love the extra time I have to devote to other things for my blog.

There you have it, my 5 things I am grateful for. I do get envious of what others have but I always remind myself of what I have in front of me. I have my family, my health and everything else!
