I completely forgot today was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! I feel really horrible. However, in my defense, we do not have local TV. I usually get my updates/news from TV. I really should use the internet to read news websites too.
This morning, not knowing it was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I got up early just like normal and got my son and I ready to take him to the bus stop. It was our neighbor who informed me that there is no school!
I looked on the school calendar (I have his school lunch calendar on our fridge) and apparently he has today and tomorrow off as well! I was really looking forward to today. I wanted to work on some things. I really value my quiet time when my son is at school. He was off of school last Friday due to snow. So, he’s been home from school since last Friday! I can’t wait until Wednesday! I need some ME time!
