Signing Time On Demand Review

For this review, I chose Series 1 Vol. 3: Signing Time Everyday  Signs.  I chose this DVD because my son is 6 years old and currently learning signs at school.  This review opportunity hits close to home because my son has Autism and special needs.  My son is delayed in speech, so using sign language helps us communicate with him and gives him the opportunity to make his needs known.

His teachers and speech therapist at school use sign language and picture cards with him and he’s learning a few signs here and there.  He’s learning to communicate and it really shows!  When we introduce a new sign to him at home, he picks it up real quick and imitates the sign.  Like him, we are always learning new signs to use with him.  I love watching Signing Time on Nick Jr. and would love to own the DVDs to learn more signs to use with our son.

Signing Time Everyday Signs video features real people doing real signs.  They show the word on the screen, they sign it for us and show examples!  The video also includes fun songs to keep children engaged in the video!  I like that they feature many examples of how to sign each word by having children sign each word.  My son loves learning new signs so this video will inarguably come in handy for us to use!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

That’s so cool. They didn’t have that show when my kids were little. I’m so glad it gives him a way to communicate! What a great teaching video!
