I was contacted by Reviva Labs to do a review and giveaway of their products and after reading about the company, I happily agreed! I love beauty products, but very picky about what I use. My skin is sensitive, so I can’t use just any product. I also don’t like products that an ingredients list a mile long. As I am getting older and a very limited budget, I am search of products that help fight aging and help with other skin issues I have.
About Reviva Labs:
In 1973 when Reviva Labs was established, the word “Exfoliation” was unknown in America. That was 38 years ago. It’s when Reviva Labs introduced the first non-chemical European Exfoliant to Health Food Stores, known as “Light Skin Peel”. It’s unique formula and blending remains unduplicated today.
Although Health Food Stores are Reviva’s major distribution channel, Reviva’s origins are actually in professional skin care salons. Reviva’s founder, Stephen Strassler, is one of America’s earliest Aestheticians.
It was (and is today) the testing of product safety and performance in various skin care salons that has been a unique and key factor in Reviva’s history of product effectiveness.
Product effectiveness is not only a matter of the right ingredients but the experience in blending the proper percentages. And the knowledge of the interaction of those ingredients. The wrong percentage of one of the active ingredients could inactivate the performance of the product.
When it came time to choose which products I would be reviewing, I had a very difficult time. They have a wide range of products and I easily got lost reading each product description and benefits! I always love reading about products and what they can do for me. I literally could have tried them all! In the end, I chose the Light Skin Peel and Hyaluronic Acid Serum.
| Light Skin Peel |
My experience with the Light Skin Peel was interesting. The directions state to apply to skin and let it dry for 3-5 minutes. To remove, you are you rub it off and that just didn’t feel comfortable to me. My skin felt dry and then to rub it off just irritated me. It also made my skin appear cracked and dry. Instead, I apply the Light Skin Peel, let it dry, and then wash it off in the shower. This process works perfect for me and I love the results. My face has a dewy glow afterward and feels so soft and smooth! I have also noticed that it’s easier to apply my makeup the day after I use the peel. My makeup brushes just glide over my face.
The product goes on thick so you don’t have to use a lot of product. This is a very easy product to use and it works! I didn’t experience any irritation or redness. There is no downtime to recover. The product does not sting either.
| Hyaluronic Acid Serum |
Using the Hyaluronic Acid Serum was also very simple. The directions state to apply at night and that’s exactly what I did. It has the consistency and feel of aloe vera. The first time I used it, I applied one “pump” of product on my fingers and then applied to my face. I realized that one “pump” was more than enough. I usually apply the extra to my neck until it dries. The Hyaluronic Acid Serum dries quickly and absorbs right into the skin. I also noticed that my skin did not feel dry, tight, or cracked afterwards — always a plus! It feels very moisturizing and made my face feel supple.
I did not experience any irritation or breakouts with this product. This product feels very gentle and works without a lot of fuss.
Overall, I love using both products. It wasn’t at all difficult to add these to my beauty regime. Both products were easy to use and gave me great results.
